Trying to start.

Well here is a short video of me doing things which make other stuff do things.

Update.

So, its been a while since I have updated this. . this is a quick run down of work done.

• Got some studs for the starter
• Ordered a new starter
• (with any luck I can get it in tommow.)
• Did a bit of bondo work on the hood and front quater pannel
• Primer on hood and some side pannels
• Some electrcal junk.
• I know the wipers, heater, and turn signal circuts all work.
• Moved the whole thing to a better location.
• More paint removal.
• Purchased side walls for a hard top.
• Began passenger seat repair.
• Sweated a lot.

A lot more paint removal

Today I did a lot of paint removal. My wire wheel is nearly gone but still useful.

You can see the hood`s progression here, however, I also started to remove paint in the bed as well. (which I did not photograph very well)

I also found that a chemical paint remover works wonders in conjunction with the wire wheel.

All one needs to do is apply the stuff to the surface you need to be paintless. Wait a few minutes. Once the paint begins to bubble its ready to come off.

I will note that paint is not the only thing it will eat.

It appears to me that my flesh was not immune to the vicious properties of the paint remover.

Day 2. paint removal part one.

I started to take off the paint. . Its going to be a long process.

You can see one side I started to use a polishing wheel, but that was taking forever and giving less than desirable results. So I went to Home Depot and got a wire brush for my grinder.

This works a ton better.

Day one

Here is what it looked like when I first got it.

The body is pretty staight with minimal rust. The soft top is in decent shape, the stiching is comming apart but no ripping.
